Me
You can call me Marsh or Marshall. I live in Nashville with my family - Alejandra, Meadow, and pup Dax. I like computers, computing, making things that feel magical. I'm educated as a computer scientist and engineer, but I prefer to learn by building and reading lots of books.

I started and now run a climate and conservation company, {Upstream Tech} (see {Work and Pursuits of Toil} for a ... complete history). I love programming languages and system design challenges. I think there are simpler solutions to our hardest problems, and spend my time in a field that loves to overcomplicate things.
I run and climb. Make {music}, {grow things}, and play games with my childhood friends.
I like turning everyday things into an adventure, like a commute to work with {Early Werms} or {walking up a river}. I try to run a slow, unplanned, solo marathon once a year. I once reviewed milk on {Milk Advocate} with my friend Quinault (and then became almost vegan, now undone because of baby!).
